hey all, i just had my car serviced today and when i got it back i noticed that my sub was very quiet, like even with all the settings on my headdeck turned up higher than i usually do, i noticed on a song which is usually bassy as shit was very minimal bass.
Think its possible they could have fucked something up while servicing my car?
plus its a wagon and i know they accessed teh spare tire under the floor board, so they would have had to unplug the sub and take it out,
i was thinking if they were playing music from my car and they took it out and maybe the two wires which plug into the sub could have touched and maybe something blew?
please help ( ps i tryed to search but i couldn't find anything really usefull

check fuses, polarity of wires, and the settings on the amp itself..try the sub in another car with different amp if possable.

If the wires did touch and the amp was running it should have gone into protection mode and no damage should have occurred. I would be going back on Monday and asking them wtf. Check simple things like they might have moved the ground, or possibly someone at the workshop may have turned your gain down. Worst case scenario, one of the mechanics has the same sub as yours and has swapped your sub for their dodgy one. Is the rest of the system operating normally? Like does your front stage also run off this amp?
Cheers.

Perhaps the voice coil has died or the amp has fried something internally. If you can have a look at the back of your subwoofer as the damage will be clearly evident as will the distinctive 'burnt out electrical' smell. Check your amp doesn't smell like a BBQ too.
