Looks like it's got the R35 GT-R A-pillars and roof, V35 Skyline Coupe rear quarters, RX8 front arches, and a 350Z bonnet.

And in a free plug for RollaClub, here's one of its' members' photochops - apparently FT stands for "Fujiwara Tofu". LOL.

Apparently they're going to be using a 200hp N/A 2.0L boxer. Underbonnet photos have shown a C-4S logo on the intake manifold, and the engine is apparently going to have direct injection, so maybe it's a new engine from Subaru. But a bit more power and torque are very unlikely to hurt it - the car will probably weigh around 1,300kg, so about 250hp and 300Nm should provide decent acceleration without over-powering the car.
Mr Mopar
Meh. I like Toyotas as a brand they know how to build a decent car.

This looks like everything else atm, except maybe a bit 'Melted'

2.0 NA boxer with 200hp, so around 145 kW? It may make about 220~240 Nm if its lucky. I suppose that is in the spirit of the AE-86 = give me more power......NOW.

Thats Subaru's go at the same car. although theirs is powered by an EJ20T i think.

That subaru is shmexy...

i dont like the toyota, nothing POPS you know? it just looks like someone at toyota gave their 5 year old a blank piece of butchers paper and a red crayon and said "draw me a rocketship with wheels" and the five year old got bored and lost interest half way through.... its better than anything i could come up with tho happy.gif my only fault with it is that it doesnt invoke the spirit of the AE86... like the new Camaro for example at least has design cues from the old camaros...

A RWD Subaru Coup? a worthy investment I think.

The Subaru version will not be coming to Australia according to their management, as they've spent too long cultivating an AWD-only image to change it with one car.

And Bob - I wouldn't expect the 2.0L N/A engine to make more than 220Nm, as it's likely just to be a higher revving engine to make 200hp in a similar vein to the Honda S2000's F20C (240hp, 208Nm) and the Toyota Altezza 3S-GE (220hp, 210Nm). I wonder if an Aurion V6 (280hp, 333Nm) or Liberty Boxer-6 (256hp, 350Nm) would fit in the engine bay...?

And I wonder if this concept is a hint at the design direction the Subaru version will take: http://www.drive.com.au/Editorial/ArticleD...=66050&vf=2 (note the mention of a direct injection engine - EJ20 replacement perhaps?).

That Subaru coupe, would sell like hotcakes me thinks. id buy one if the price was reasonable.

Thats funny a car that only became popular after an animated TV show...

Spirit of the Hatchi...

I wish people could see past what they actually are head_wall.gif
ancullen
They can't see past much because there are too many fat arsed Supra's in the way. Damned big, heavy lard arsed GT cruisers they are...

BTW, Fragga - this isn't Toyota's first boxer engined car. Admittedly when Toyota last used a boxer engine (1976) it was at least of their own design, and was also only a 790cc flat-twin. Let's just consider ourselves lucky they didn't decide to pull out the casts for THAT engine and reuse it. laugh.gif
Fragga
hahaha yeah i know its not their first.. but i kinda hoped that it wouldnt get brought up.
same as nissan. one modle of the silvia (cant for the life of me remember which) came out with a rotory.
lol how weird does that sound.

its just one of those things. u associate boxers with subaru
and rotories with mazda haha. and its just weird wen other companies use them lol

well.... it seems weird to me anyways
Pure-SX
rotary in a kingswood, "roadpacer" i believe it was called.

alot would seem wierd to darwins slowest RB tongue.gif
Fragga
wow that was a useless comment...

but ey while on the topic of takin digs...

but yes the roadpacer was a fuckin stupid idea lol 2ton of steel powered by a rotor haha.
MR_TRD
Dunno steve, saying 'RB' can class 30's aswell.. tongue.gif Lets play nice kiddos!
