The lift affects the front end geometry, drop boxes or drop arms help.

You have a few different options, the cheapest would be castor correction bushes.

its no worse on a shorty. They use exactly the same length radius arms. Castor is affected exactly the same as a LWB lifted the same amount.
3" is a tricky height for castor correction. the offset bushes are designed for a 2" lift. Castor plates and drop boxes are designed for 4" and greater lifts.
If you use offset bushes DO NOT use poly. They will chew out in a matter of months. Rubber offset bushes are available that are better but still won't last as long as OE Nissan bushes. Most people with 2" lift do not bother with castor correction because the offset bushes fail so quickly.
other contributing factors could be wide offset wheels that increase scrub radius, and big tyres that are more prone to tramlining. or worn or maladjusted wheel bearings. or even worn panhard rod bushes, but that normally also shows up as the "death wobble".
An RTC steering damper could help a bit too.
of course, all that is assuming that there is actually no play in the steering components... considering the age of the vehicle, they probably do have some play.
Your best bet all around is to go and talk to Superior Engineering.

that's the one! talk to Superior Engineering, but the first thing to check is panhard rod bushes and steering damper.
