Hi all, i fit bull bars and tow bars for a living and have been doing some work for sci fleet toyota pre delivery dept at Zillmere and for the last few months i have been fitting bull bars to toyota klugers and rav 4's for the police dept some will be maked but a lot wont be,

They are all different colours but mainly white, silver and some red ones, they have ECB chrome bull bars on them with driving lights in the bull bars however these driving lights are not connected up (not in our contract to do so)
but from there they go to the alderly police complex where they get fitted out with all their gear so they may hook them up in there. they have also had a few of new es lancers (sedan and hatch's) getting fitted out with all their gear. just keep an eye out, there is too many of us getting fines for bull s#@t reasons.

will keep you updated if i find anymore.

change lanes several times see if they follow
try to get behind them
(jump on brakes just before a exit get behind them and take the exit works a treat (they generally dont like this one)....recomend yo only do this if you have a good reason for not being pulled over...they will know somethings up and you are breaking a law doing this one)
thats basicly what i do
just look for extra areials or stickers on the window
or even better the red and blue lights on the dash rolleyes.gif

lol so you swerve between lanes and slam on your brakes when you think there's a cop behind you?
Crazy thought, how about just driving normally????

no i indicate and change lanes normally but keep goin back and forth
or indictate to take a exit and just drive straight past it?
jumping on brakes is if you have a reason to get away from a cop....i dont have a criminal record, driving history is good, and my car is defect free so i just do the first two to confirm my suspision

The Kluger's are being used by supervisor's etc. Never seen a Rav4 before. The Lancer's will be both marked and unmarked, however doubt many unmarked will get used for traffic duties. Mainly CIB and CPIU....
Luca
Yeah the Golf gti iv seen that a bit, and the VE ss Ute black

Errr... you'll probably find they are travelling to/from work. They wouldn't use an unreliable import for actual intercepts. Think of the possible issues/conflicts of interest...

As per 70NKY, the majority of unmarked Kluger's are being issued for fleet usage, not 'undercover' vehicles. There are several marked Kluger's getting around though. Don't handle all too well though oopsie.gif

you know they can book u for speeding up to the speed limt if u do it from the lights they can class it as street racing or undo noise, their is anotha for accelerating quickly but yeah I lost my liecens for 6 mnths two years ago for doing it

Or ..

I had once a new commodore pull out off a side street... I was abit suss of him, 1st up...

was late at nite... the side street was a quite/dark street..
had the 'good old uncovered rims on... smile.gif
Had (2) guys Dressed up abit too nicely... for that time of nite.
Had a few extra aerials ..

was in the right lane...they backed off... let me get in front for a while .. ( while they most likely doing the look at WRX , prolly even doing a plate check while back there..

and after about 3 or so kms... they started to slowly go past me... when we where in line... i gave them a nod.

they smiled and gave a nod back...but they had a funny sort of look on the face, ( like a disappointed Look ) hehehe .. and then i could see their computer screen on the dash,..then they gunned it past me... Mate and i lol ... ( one step ahead of them )...

But yea. If your not doing anything wrong. then u should be fine.

boost it.... to the speed limit... lets say you are at lights, and they are behind you... if you 'boost it' to 60 in a slow car.... you wont be far enough ahead to 'wait for them up the road' they would still be just behind you.

if you have a fast car. then generally you would get done for noise (exhaust, tire spinning)

If the speed limit is 100.... same principles apply. generally in a race from lights with normal people..... if it was my car vs lancer or some shit, then if i was racing to the speed limit, thats the top of 2nd and i would be 3-5 car lengths in front.... still hardly enough to 'wait up the road' for them

your plan is bullshit

Wait to they start following you home or waiting at the top of the street till you leave your house to book you. Dark green vn como followed me last year on halloween after waiting for me to drop a friend off at the top of the street they followed me around three round abouts that i went around twice each I thought they were weirdos so put my foot down and lost them. Got home at the end of the night and there they were waiting for me with a fine for speeding off.

Undertaker_is_the_best
i think that most ppl would agree that if they look like cops the chances are they are most likely cops and they tend to drive anything these days just to keep ppl guessing and it really wouldnt suprise me if you were to see them in imports but who knows

saw the Jeep Cherokee again last night, that thing has no extra aerials and the lights are hiden in the grille and stuff
