I have a Mac with OSX 10.3.9 (Panther) and unfortunately can't use the latest gen ipods unless I upgrade my OS. So I've been looking at alternatives, primarily the iRiver E1002. Question is, can I transfer music to this using iTunes, or is it all based through Windows Media Player? Sorry, have no idea lol. Cheers.
Mr.B
You can pretty much just drag and drop music to the HDD of the iRiver MP3 players, iRiver MP3 players also ship with their own "iTunes" type software (a little un-necessary TBH).

Thanks heaps Mr.B. I've had a look - most of them are m4a files. Are these basically the same as mp3, or do have to convert them in order to be playable? Yep, I'm so ignorant.
Chris
I'm sure there are a lot more programs out there that will transfer your music for you instead of just Itunes.
Mr.B
I'm not sure if the iRiver software that comes with it will convert it for you, something you'll have to look at. Just check the manual and see if it supports m4a files as well just to be safe. I've never really had a problem with my E10 but it is an older model I would imagine.
