Hi all, the vein that used to run up my forearm all the way through my bicep is gone. I was just curious as to what the this means?

the vein runs up the forearm but stops at the elbow. does it mean that the muscle isn't as tone anymore? or is it just a genetic thing?

depends on a few factors. BF is one but also your body's hydration levels. When your body becomes dehydrated your skin pulls tighter (or something like that?) anyway professional bodybuilders deliberatley dehydrate themselves to quite low (and dangerous) levels for this specific reason, to get everything to pop out. So you could just be retaining more water than usual (change of diet, drugs, pills e.t.c).

Also things like alcohol will cause your veins to pop out as well.

Sorry, you are wrong.

The 24 hours leading up to a show, most builders will still take in around 2 litres of fluid. More than enough.

This is what they are using to become vascular. http://www.synthetek.com/products/synthelator-vasodilator/

No it really depends on what makes them look best in that regard. Some dehydrate some water load. Some take no where near two litres of water in the last 24 hours, the only water they drink is enough to down the last few supplements they'll be taking and vasodilators, so usually L Glutamine, Glycerole, Vitamin C. And they sip water if their mouth is dry.

The less water you have, the better off you look, as your skin tends to look like its been shrink wrapped onto your body and you look amazingly vascular and sirated.

Did you bother clicking that link I posted. There is another link on that website which goes to a forum showing the results of the product.

Yes, they go dry before a show but they still take on a reasonable amount of water. They don't look ridiculously vascular because they sip on water a day or 2 before the show.... rolleyes.gif

Different competitors have different approaches, but the majority won't take much water in the final 24 hours. I used to use red wine to help with vascularity, worked pretty well, and also helped calm the nerves laugh.gif
