Just doing a poll, if there were a raceway on the Mid North Coast (Taree/forster/wingham)area, along the lines of a Oran Park, Eastern creek and Willowbank, what would people like to see there (types of races) and how many people would use it. It would be reasonably priced. Area is located 2hrs north of newcastle and 2.5 hrs south of coffs harbour.

Im asking this as there is a plan to have one built here. Just doing abit of research for the guy doing it.

whats to stop them having a circuit that could double up as a drift section? combine that with a drag strip (or a f-off long main straight doubling as a drag strip), and happy times!

cheers,

thanks guys. i was just thinking of ways that they can maximise their space, and appeal to multiple types of car fans.

on the topic, how much land is there to work with? also, is the local council on board or will be a battle royal to get the ball rolling?

cheers,
brett

they have tried getting a track here ages ago, just the insurance was gonna be the killer.

i would like to see a drift/drag track, keep everyone off the streets

also less traveling for me to put the pig out there!!

land is about a 100aches. cant see council having too much problem where it will be located and it will increase tourism to the area greatly. Yea insurance is abit pricey, but will pay off in the end. The guys have been talkin to a few promoters to help get the track on the map, (with drift aust etc)
