Dont think much goes on in Osaka dude, i recommend checking out the aquarium though that place is rockin!
as for drift your either going to have to catch an event or a prac day or know someone that is in the scene a bit.
sorry i cant be more help, just got back from Japan and it is and unreal place to be with or without drifting, i recommend doing a but of research to find when any sort of even is on and train it out to a track if you are that keen on seeing it.
Good luck hope you have a good trip
John.

Osaka has epic street drifting/racing.
You need someone that's in the scene or you'll have no hope finding.
Good-Luck.

LOL Wes has just brought to my attention that i didnt exactly word that correctly.
For track drifting i dont know of any places in Osaka like events and watnot.
street drifting/touge is like anywhere i think unless you know someone in the scene that can tell you where to be at what time i think its pretty hard to stumble across it.
If you are lucky enough to find some get some footage
good luck anyway

as previously said the www.dr1ft.jp site is the one to watch..
my advice is though, is check it just before you go, i've just come back from japan, and when i initially checked that site a few months before i left, there wasnt much listed for september, but just before i left there was stacks...
in the end, we travelled up to niigata (5 hours north of tokyo) to watch a round of D1SL at Maze circuit.
was right on the seaside and was an awesome few days...
the fellow gaijin expats we were hanging with said it was an extremely good level of drift that round, which rivalled some of the d1 rounds of late..

Club Pure in Namba!!
That was fucking off the chain. 3500yen, all you can drink 10pm til 5am. I got super messy there....
My best advice for travelling to Japan is use the forums to meet Aussies who live in Japan who have cars and know drifters / drift themselves.
We met up with Luke Huxham and Andy and went to D1SL at Nikko and went to some fucking cool Touges to see real japanese drifting.
That and getting to meet Hoshino, drive carts at ORC (Ogura Racing Clutch), meet Keiichi Tsuchiya etc etc.
But that was well North of Tokyo in Gunma Prefecture, so a long way from Osaka.
Even without the drifting the trip to Japan is awesome and well worth it.

Hey guys back from Japan but unfortunately didnt see any drifting, as I got scammed out of 95% of my cash by nigerian club workers while out on the town BASTARDS...... but the trip overall was an awesome experience. Anyone that travels over there steer clear of the nigerian pricks out front of clubs. they get you in the clubs and make you pay all your cash before you leave, and to top it off my luggage was lost between Sydney and Brissy :-) a great end...

Ah, there are a lot of huge african gentlemen in ropongi. I refused to follow them anywhere when I was there. I was expecting to be led into a dark place and mugged lol. Sounds like that's pretty much what happens. Sorry to hear they got you dude. I guess we know where deposed african presidents and their bodyguards go to escape the noose..
I didn't know how to find any drift when I was there and only saw a couple of hot cars, but still an awesome place to visit. I can't wait to go back.. with a drift event calendar this time!
