Okay....
I have been hitting boost-cut quite frequently so I had decided to purchase a Fuel Cut defender. A mate and I have hooked it up but have yet to tune it. We just went for a drive to see what boost it is cutting at in order to tune the defender. On sequential turbo setup (Default mode) it is cutting at 14-15psi, this is normal. Once I set the turbo's to run in true twin (Via switch) it is boosting to 19-20psi before cut.
I'm spinning 255's in 4th if boost-cut doesn't hit first.
Why?
And I repeat, Stock ECU with no defender operating.

Aftermarket dump pipe?
I believe that the stock dump pipe is bulk restrictive, and once you piss that off the wastegates can't flow enough and boost keeps building.
Otherwise.
This is just from crap I've read on the net in random places, take it as gospel.

Nope....well not that I know of.
And more the fact that it normally is very aggressive with the boost-cut (not allowing over 1 bar) but will gladly hit 20PSI before cutting in true twin mode.

After a little bit more research the only conclusion that I can come to is that I have one of the "optioned" Mines or Blitz ECU's. Apparently they look exactly the same as the stock one but there is no sticker on mine indicating it.

Just out a quick question, not really related... But how much power is it making?

Ah, at least 10
NFI, it was guessed by multiple people to be about 240kw atw.

Mines making a lil more than that on 16psi (currently running 18psi) and there is no way i'd ever get 4th to wheelspin..
I'm usually running 285's or 275's depending on my monies at the time

Make, brand, age, and condition of tyres would have a lot to do with that. Surely there can't be THAT much of a difference in horsepower/torque - especially not with factory turbos running boost so far over their standard pressures (which is presumably outside their efficiency range).

I agree, but this is all beside the point. Why are my turbo's boosting to 20psi, well above the fuel-cut limit.

I have a Turbosmart FCD, I haven't hooked up a my boost controller yet.
And both of them have nothing to do with my current predicament

Apparently thier efficiency range is about 18psi, I've gotten the Fuel Cut Defender working and is stopping the fuel cut in sequential mode (Hallelujah) but in true twin it is still cutting at 20psi. Perhaps it is just the fuel pump not keeping up

check your vaccum hoses to the waste gate. i've had a similar prop with my old car, and the hose had cracked undernith, replaced it, ran normal boost again.
