Saw on youtube a video of 4wd's at logan village pine forest. Is it legal in there? and where is the entrance?
Also wondering if ormeau is legal? I heard from one person it is and another that it isnt? lol.

Went to scenic rim on the weekend and didnt really enjoy it. Too high up for my liking lol. I couldnt find any clay there either. all i found was rocks and hills.

I have a stock GU at the moment with leaf rear end (ute) with only 33 coopers on it so not sure how much i can get it through without doing damage.

Also wondering about bellthorpe forest? I heard you need a permit.

I had a look on here for other pages and couldnt find anything so please dont tell me just to go look. Any help would be appreciated.

Ormeau is kind of legal, as the main track is a road in the UBD Refidex.

If you don't like rock, then don't go to Ormeau,

Pine forest has alot of everything.

im in capalaba. Have been to burbank a couple times. Went to scenic rim and even on the easy tracks my mate who has more experience was struggling lol. So there is no way i could have driven it in my ute. Anyone else been there? We couldnt find any of the clay sections like in the videos on youtube of the surf forum meets there. All we found was rocks and hills lol.

the mud you see on youtube vids from scenic rim is after a lot of rain. this areas is known as the "play" area on the map, not far from the entrance near the 1st dam. i was at scenic about 7wks ago and 2wks ago when they had the comp on. its very dry and dusty out there, if you were looking for mud, there is none, till it rains again...
how could you say you didnt enjoy scenic rim? ive done most of tracks in a stock d40 navara, but i just dont have the ground clearance for things like the creek tracks. im looking for a cheap gq to enter in the next comp out there at the end of the month.

all the areas around brisbane and gold coast are all illegal as they are all private property, everyone goes to these areas and never really gets in any trouble. you have all heard the storys of cops or security being there but ive never seen any.

My biggest problem with scenic rim is that im not overly experienced...My parents never owned 4wd's, ive only had my licence a year and im a bit nervous of what will happen if i take it back to work dented and bashed up as it belongs to my work lol. They dont mind provided i dont go bending panels and sh**. I didnt feel i would have had the skill to drive scenic rim really after something pretty basic and build up from there lol.

If you take the Dreamworld/Coomera exit heading southbound on the M1 and turn left on the roundabout and drive back northbound along the service road for approx 1km you will see a large clearing area on the right where a heap of cars will be parked with trailers/bikes etc.

Thats Coomera, there isn't a heap of stuff there but you will have fun if you are just learning.

One very good tip, don't try to drive the creek, nor the big bog hole on the southside otherwise you WILL get stuck in a standardish vehicle.

yeah, logan village pine forest is very illegal, but we still go in there. its got all sorts of tracks and there are entrances all along waterford-tamborine road. there are a few real big puddles if your entering from steel rd, my 4x4 went down to the door handle adn its a triton with a 2 inch lift and a good set of wheels. u just gota be careful of all the bike riders in there n if u c a cop, go as fast as u can...... oh n its very easy to get lost bacause its so big.

lol yea we got lost at ormeau when i went there in my old ute. Ended up being like 10pm before we found our way out lol.

do cops give you any trouble at coomera? Might go down over the weekend and have a look? Is it illegal in there?

oh and how did you manage to get your triton out? lol. Would have needed one hell of a whinch/very strong snatch lol.

didnt get to go to coomera over the weekend. Thinking about either buying a 75 series SWB with 35's and a decent lift but no motor/40 series pertrol and 4speed if its any good or a holden drover/sierra both i can get for around $500 except the 75 is full of rust and the drover needs brake work. Any suggestions?

And can anyone let me know if coomera is legal or not? lol. Drove past the other night going to screamworld and it looks fairly easy

Coomera is illegal, but you never have any hassles.

Upper Ormeau Rd is the best one to use.

Anyway i picked up a drover/sierra ugly POS hightop over the weekend. Stock as a rock but still goes pretty well for over 300k on the clock. Has no brakes at the moment so the stopping isnt as good but will hopefully get that sorted soon and get it back on the road. Heard about ripley and i think once i get a couple mods (tyres and maybe lift?) might head out there.

Pitty burbank isnt legal. Had a couple of good runs in there with mates.

beerwah state forest has plenty of everything.....and its legal if your cars registered

pacific pines gold coast is fun its sort of small but had hill climb, mud tracks, deep mud holes sunk my first surf there. heaps of fun and as long as you stay away for the quarry you wont be bothered has clay hill run fun on ht tyres lol

Binnies rd at Ripley mate. Look it up on whereis or google maps and head out there.

Ripley is a good spot for learning, but then theres a few experienced tracks. I suggest you check it out sometime.

It would be awesome fun too after this rain, Might see a few of you's out at Binnies rd if anyones keen.
