It's not a SW20... lol. sorry guys. it's a all-Trak motor out of a ST165.

Meh - Gen 1, Gen 2, what's the diff? And don't link me to a page detailing the differences, because I don't care.

there's minimal differences in the Series one an two motors apparenlty, just the stuff that goes on them, like intercooler etc. AFAIK anyway.

Yeah - you are correct. They're both bigport engines with TVIS (Toyota Variable Induction System) and both use the same turbo. Slightly higher compression ratio than the Gen3 (8.9:1 vs. 8.5:1). Still very strong motors. Both Gen1 & Gen2 use the CT26 turbo, which is good for up to 14psi, which should see the engine making about 250hp at the flywheel.

when i was looking at putting the motor in a st162 i pretty much read up on them as i wanted something for short dashes, so the CT26, which i think also came out on the older model supras, except the exhaust was a single port, as with the celica it has a twin port set up to help it spool quicker, and with the higher compression it was easier to change a few of the things around the motor like senors an other fiddly little things to bring it to the Gen 2/3 specs but with higher compresson. cheap, reliable power is what i was looking for...
