hi just after some info i can get a cheap turbo kit of my mate but it was off a 5l
iv been told you dont need to change anything
then iv been told you need a chip
then iv been told you need to get the pump recalabrated

what do i need to do

You need to get a rising rate pump so that the motor doesn't lean out under boost, so basically if your mate is taking the kit off his 5L then swap the fuel pump aswell. There are a lot of burnt out 3L and 5L motors out there after they didn't upgrade the fuel pump with the kit. You should go and get a tune/ upgrade chip so that you know it will be running right and with a chip it will produce 35% more torque and better fuel economy. Make sure you buy all new gaskets when you do the swap just to save yourself later down the track and make sure your boost levels stay low (5-9psi) and constant to start until you get a tune.
A mate and I have done the swap on a 3L and a 5L motor witout any dramas running on 9Psi with the upgraded pump.
