I've been taking EnerVite's omega3 fish oil caps (sourced from the Discount Chemist Warehouse chain) and saw this on the shelves as well, just wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on the contents, if it's worth taking (or just crap apart from the creatine) and if so if it's good value?

(Bearing in mind I also currently take Swisse iron-free multivitamin, glucosamine and WPC daily)

Ingredients seem pretty good (magnesium is a much needed supplement for bodybuilders), probably fairly expensive for what it is though... Ginseng is fairly useless.
Thought about something like Ultra Muscleze from Bioceuticals? Has most of the above (minus the creatine) along with lots of others and should be a fair bit cheaper... Keep in mind you're meant to take 6 of those tabs a day compared to one dose of the Ultra Muscleze.

Thanks mate.

Haven't really looked at too many supps to be honest, just curious about that one because I saw it the other day and wanted to know if it was a crock or not, being from the discount chemist and not a dedicated supp store.

I'd get most of what is in Ultra Muscleze from my Swisse multi but not in such high doses.

I've been trying to keep away from taking anything other than the basics of multi, glucosamine, fish oil and whey protein as lots of people have said it's best to wait until your first true plateau before beginning to use more dedicated supplements as they will have more impact and help you over that plateau than if you take them from the start of training.

I don't like the idea of taking any supps in pill form..

Just don't trust it, but thats just me..

I would stay away from it, far better supps out there. Have you tried adding flaxseed oil into your diet? It's a better source of omega 3's than fish oil.

Do supps like this actually do anything at all though. I've trialed a few different ones that claim to do certain things and honestly I don't notice any difference. It leads me to believe they are all just a wank and only give people a placebo effect.

Horses for courses mate, some people get results, others don't. I'm lucky enough to know from trial and error, along with some basis of knowledge what personally works for me and what doesn't. Having said that, supps for me is only something I do every now and then. Have only recently actually bought any protein powder again, first time in several months. I am a strong believer in making sure that you are getting enough macro nutrients (vitamins and minerals) because they are the basis of all processes in the body.

I haven't tried flaxseed oil yet Brad but that and Lecithin are the next things I'm buying from the health food shop.

I've found that the Cenovis Guarana 2000 & Ginseng 500 tablets (Paullinia cupana (Guarana) extract equiv. dry seed 2000mg Panax ginseng (Korean Ginseng)extract equiv. dry root 500mg) work for me. I'm not into drinking V or Red Bull at all but if I swallow one of those 45 minutes before cardio sessions I find I can go harder during the session.

Found that I felt amazingly better while taking Coenzyme Q-10 as well.
