Hey guys,
Was out last night with a buddy and messing around with some photo skills....no expert but this was the best shoot of the night...was only using a Sony DSC-P150 Cybershot - no tripod but the wheely bin on its side came in handy
Any feedback/tips etc would be great as I would like to start getting more into this style of photography..

Great start esp with a point n shoot camera.
I would clone out the rubbish on the ground or in future remove it from the pic..
Looking forward to seeing more pics.

Thanks mate, i wanted the rubbish in the pic as i wanted to give it that back street kinda feel..
Is there anyother way of getting some light onto the car without the use of a tourch? to make it smoother?

I feel its distracting the image.. But if you wanted it there then fair enough.
Perhaps some constant light with a softbox.
Look up light painting in google or youtube.

Hotspot.
However there's always masking. Use the center light and just expose for that then shoot for the other stuff.. Easily done.

Nice, a little messy with the light painting though, was it a narrow beam torch?

This may be a little weird but, have you thought of making your own 'light wand'? Getting a CCFL & inverter and just hooking that up to another cars battery with a long arse lead, that'll give you a bigger, softer light and will spread more too to help stop the narrow beamness. Just a thought.
