As the titles suggests, is it possible to use these cables (Just the red and white) for the Head Unit to Amp connection in my car? I know it will fit and all, but will there be any power/heat issues?

Cheers.

Ive never thought of using those. I assumed theres a reason you can buy RCAs specifically for car stereos so ill stick to those thanks.

Yeah, I thought about that. But then again, it could be all marketing bullshit.
GTRwilson
ehh, the proper RCAs look better if nothing else. If i seen those in a setup it would scream dodgy @#$!. (even if they are completely fine to use)
EUniqe
you can use them. but engine noise etc. could possibly become a problem, as they aren't internally shielded inside the rubber to stop ambient noise as much as propoer ones, the 'marketing' ones.

^ True. I also just found out they are only about $30 head_wall.gif

I walked into some shop last week, and it had a "Premium" kit for like $120 oopsie.gif

Guess I'll be picking up some wiring tomorrow then.
GTRwilson
that was probably a wiring kit not just RCA leads. As said, cheap as chips so worth the money IMO.
D3N1S
Nah, I'm pretty sure it wasnt a kit. It was just the RCA cables. But they might have had Gold plated connectors and whatnot.
EUniqe
lol @ gold plated cables. in my experience, it makes no difference whatsoever.
GTRwilson
they could have been those one-way directional cables. laugh.gif

haha same here. I got a free Belkin Gold Plated HDMI --> DVI cable when I bought my monitor. To be honest, there is no difference with the standard DVI --> DVI cables I have. Although it does improve my e-wang.
