Thanks for posting . . .
Were you;
a) joining the left traffic lane (pic taken at a lane-drop) ; or
b) stopped in the wide, left emergency shoulder, or
c) did the other vehicle simply collect you whilst you were driving along, or
d) other??
I am leaning to C myself, the 'heavy' damage is mostly RH meaning the person tried too late to jump into the RH lane to pass you. (You may have had to slow for traffic ahead, that sort of thing).* NB - After the event, rear-most vehicle *should* have left/put its hazard-warning lights on. I apply that to the ambulance in pic too.
A secondary crash can result in penalty for not doing so.http://www.nbntv.com.au/index.php/2009/07/...oadside-safety/I was on my way home from work & it was raining in 10 sec intervals .. I was travelling down the M7 approaching merging traffic .. I proceeded to slow down due to peak hour & the truck behind me was texting so he didn't notice me slowing down .. due to the bob cat being on him .. he had no chance of stopping .. as I heard his breaks screaching I pushed my whole body weight & locked the wheel to the left .. The pictures are from where my car stopped ..
My hazzard lights were on & the police turned them off as they were taking photos due to poor visibilty (over cast) .. they blocked off 1 lane 500m up the road due to petrol leak from the truck ..
A fire chief was behind the truck that hit me so he had his safety vest on & witches hats out before they got me out of the car ..
