Meats, especially poultry (skinless obviously) and fish (Buy the canned stuff for snacks) eggs aswell. They all contain essential amino acids and would be the first things I would go for.

Red meat is also good but is higher in fat that other meats.

Yoghurt, although is not a complete protein (doesn't contain amino acids) is still good for snacks.

The you've got your nuts and beans e.t.c

or make your own protein bars (or if you're feeling rich buy some), I put a link up around here somewhere with recipies.

Avoid as much processed foods as possible. Up intake of vege's, lower intake of fruit (two serves daily otherwise it's just empty sugar). Snack on mixed nuts, rye crackers and a low-fat dip (make sure your fibre intake is sufficient). I'd be avoiding starchy and glutenous foods as they contribute greatly to people putting weight on.
Learn the difference between good and bad fats, get rid of as many bad fats as you can. Good fats are actually good for you as long as you're not overdoing them.
