Configurable ignition and injection outputs to suit different applications
Inputs for water temperature, air temperature, auxiliary temperature (eg turbo), manifold air pressure, throttle position, knock sensor, EGO (exhaust gas oxygen)
Outputs for four injector groups - allows full sequential injection up to 4-cylinders, or semi-sequential injection up to 8- cylinders.
Outputs for three igniter groups (four optional) - allows full sequential spark up to four cylinders and wasted spark systems up to 8-cylinders, or any conventional distributor systems.
Eight configurable auxiliary outputs - four of which are configurable as high current outputs, three of which are PWM capable.

Special Features
Adaptive fuel control - with configurable tolerances and loop gains, and conditions under which adaptive behaviour takes place
Narrow-band (factory EGO sensor) closed loop fuel control
High current programmable outputs - allows direct drive of solenoid valves for boost control, air bypass etc
Special function programmable outputs - allows control of anti-pollution purge valves, air conditioners etc
Open-loop and closed-loop idle bypass control - allows configuration of increased idle bypass amount based on low battery, electrical load, air conditioner, as well as correction based on RPM
Programmable for different crank angle sensor waveforms
Open-loop and closed-loop boost control
Traction control and launch control

Because the amount of fuel required by engines differs under different conditions (eg throttle position) and between different engines, the ECU must be tuned for the particular engine. This process must be repeated when other modifications to the engine are made. This can often take a lot of time to perform, even for an experienced tuner, because the tuner has to manually adjust the fuel mixture on the ECU, and retest the engine, for hundreds of different conditions. Time on a dynamometer can be quite expensive, leading to a very expensive engine modification.

There is another method, which is where the ECU automatically adjusts the mixture strength to the user's specification. This greatly speeds up the tuning procedure. This technology has been employed by MoTec (Quick Lambda) and Autronic (Autotune), however their use appears limited to tuning on a dynamometer.

The Adaptronic has been designed from the ground up to run continuously in adaptive mode. This means that after performing changes such as a new exhaust system, the user merely needs to continue to drive the car on the street, and the ECU will automatically adapt to the changes made.

This makes life easier for vehicle modifiers and the end user, while encouraging responsible car tuning, leading to less pollution from modified cars generally.

We have just made just under 200rwkw on a 3RZ Hilux on 10lb with a slipping clutch on an internally standard engine with the use of an E420C. Install and tuning was done by Al's Race Fabrication. We work closely with Al and all clients that come through us rather than directly through Al will receive supply, install and tuning at a discounted rate.

Once the Hilux has finished being tuned we shall post the final results.

BUMP!! and new looms available , Honda prelude VTIR 97-01, S13,S14,S15 (will be available in 3-4 weeks), 2JZ (will be available in 3-4 weeks)

in other news we are the first that we know of world wide to break the Ralli art Colt ECU to put in An Adaptronic and we also have pioneered the first Plug and play loom (that we know of) for the Rx8 and have also been able to put an Adaptronic ECu on a Rx8 GT that was also turbo charged the next day then tuned. If you know the Rx8's they are very difficult to get around as a plug and plya unit and the Rx8 GT happens to be quite a tricky ECu to beat when putting in external engine management systems.

I run an adaptronic on my 1JZ GTE, and know of many others on 4AGEs and 1UZ-FEs, everyone is very happy with them, as am i smile.gif

210KW on stock turbos is great for a 1J smile.gif
