if ur eligible u get given 380 shares...which are currently sitting at $2.82...so works out to be just over 1k...

it has however been up around the $3.50 mark early this year...

current dividends are hovering around the 15c per share mark...so maybe $55 every allocation if ur lucky...

the rest is beyond me tho...
Cerby
who's eligible??
This is the first i've heard of it cos i didn't read the letter!
But $1000 for nothing ohmy.gif

MookieMadskillz
My parents handed me the massive book and said " read that and let me know what u plan to do "

8700s14
I must not read or watch enough news, but isn't this a case of "if the merger goes ahead".... or am I so far behind that the merger HAS allready gone ahead?

I only read the mercury to laugh at the bogans and read the page 5 dog story. I get more news on the toilet paper after i wipe my ass.
I don't answer the house phone because anyone who rings it i don't want to talk too. Its always mums friends ringing her in the middle of the day for the fifth time and they get shitty when i tell them she isn't home. This woman got all snappy and started asking when she'll be home and i said "well she has a full time job, so probably give up ringing in the middle of the fucking day!"
And my attention span is far too short to read the crap mystate send me.

SO who wants to be my financial advisor? How to i get the maximum amount to spend on my car??
Funz
final cut off date for return of forms is like aug 28th?? maybe.. dont leave it late tongue.gif free money

proxy form doesnt matter all that much...its not compulsory to lodge a vote, if u dnt lodge a vote then the directors vote in favor of the merge for you...

ur still eligable for the shares if u vote or not...the form you wanna find is the "share sell option" which u basically sign and automatically paid out for the allocation of shares rather than receiving them...payment due 16th october...

funny enough about the same time i get my taxes back biggrin.gif going to be a massive spending spree...the old ae86 wont know wat hit it...
red_zook
ok looks like i will have to call them to ask for my forms to be re sent out... as i have thrown mine out!
Sturgey
yeh thats all i did zook got em within 2-3 days
PANDA
lol wondered what that big book was for spose I better send that shit off to get me cash lol
Cerby
I've been having a think and heres the terrible consequences.
The merger will go ahead because it says that, since the board members recommend it, when you don't bother to vote, you are actually voting yes. There is no way that people who don't want it will be more than the lazy people and people who vote yes because they see it as a short term pay day.
Following this logic, the booklet was so mahoosive because it suits the board members for the majority of people to go feck that and do nothing.
Also doesn't it seem a bit dodge spending $150,000 of the members money on advertising a merge the members may not want?

Now on another note if you sell the shares you can do it through mystates "facility" advantage of this is no fees, but you need to sell them all and the share price is not guaranteed.
So if shitloads of shares are sold the price will drop. how does it work? Say the first couple of thousand shares sell for $2.80 gradually falling to say $1. Do the first people to sell get the $2.8 and the last people get $1 or say it works out that the average price is $1.60 does everyone get that price?

A massive sell out of shares will cause the share price to fall. Isn't this bad for the business?
If this is the case maybe you are better off keeping the shares to make sure the "facility" doesn't sell them at a shit price and waiting for the price to come back up?
MookieMadskillz
i thought mystate bought the shares
Cerby
mmmm i don't know I haven't seen anything saying that. I looked at the site and they say you get the average price of the shares sold. and there is no guarantee of the min price. You have to put in your sale form by the 28th of august. Once its in you can't get out of selling them. And you get a cash payment around the 15th of october.

It doesn't sound like an ideal situation to me. You have absolutely no idea what you will get for you shares.

If you don't use their "facility" you have to pay brokerage fees. But you would know exactly how much your selling them for. I Imagine you'd have to wait till the bank has sorted all its shit out though.
I wonder how much the brokerage fees are.
PANDA
also not taking into account that come tax time next year capital gains tax wink.gif
Cerby
mmmm true. But you would have to pay that either way. but if you keep them it means you will have to work out the interest and fill in that part of the tax return sad.gif
I always owe the bank money so i've never needed to work out that bank interest or shares part.
Jord
yeaahhh... approved! give me my money
Cerby
hahahaa
I've sort of decided to kepp my shares but I keep thinking of ways to spend it sad.gif
Paulie7
Bringing this back up due to the 15th Oct due date for payments.

For those of you who chose to sell your shares through the Share Sale Facility - Have you received your money yet?
How do we get it? Cheque? Or does it just appear in your bank account?
MookieMadskillz

8700s14

Paulie7
Sweet. Cheers for that smile.gif
PANDA
Mine turned up today smile.gif
Jord
mine to smile.gif
Mayhem78
Four people i know sold and all got the $1200 mark.
tweetwoof
$1200? i think they're prob lying to you dude, they got sold for 2.50 each, and it totaled to $967.50

even says that on thye mystate site

so unless they've paid for extra shares... dunno.gif
Drifterdan
Ummm, lowest selling price for this year is $2.80 (well within a few cents), so who ever sold u them for $2.50 just ripped ur bum open lol. Most people got 387 shares so thats $1083 or there abouts.

The current price throughout the last few weeks has been about $2.97 (give or take a fraction!) so at 387 shares, thats $1149.

So $1200 is roughly right smile.gif

$2.50 is the average price that the 'bulk lot' of members shares sold for. Remember that they were basically flooded into the market and therefore fetched slightly less.

WhiteR33
I kept mine. Will be interesting to see what happens with the value of them
tweetwoof
from what it says on the internet is seems like ALL the shares got sold at the same time, so that they were sold for the same price, everyone i know got 967.50 exactly lol

MASSIVE LOL!!!

they were sold at a variety of prices and then the prices averaged out so EVERYONE using the sale package was paid the SAME amount...

either way...quite happy with the amount i got...less fucking around to just walk with the cash than to hold onto them and deal with a broker (remebering broker fees etc)...

now to wait for the free myer shares biggrin.gif haha...
tweetwoof
i dont see how thats so funny,

on the site before (its not on there now for some reason dunno.gif) it said that like on the 27th of september the shares were sold for $2.50 each, and because each member had 387 shares that it worked out to be $967.50 per person
MookieMadskillz
im sorry guys i mis read it, it turns out i got paid $967.50 for each share
desoto
for those that didnt take the time to read the letter when they where sent asking if to sell or not to sell or yous didnt get to sell in time and now want to sell its not that expensive to just find a broker they do the work to sell em you will have your money within 3 days and should cost about $80 to $100 that includes gst to sell em so that works out better than the ones that sold thru mystate cause if they sell for around $2.90 odd works out around $1122 to $1145 so after cost you will come out with $1020 give or take a dollar lol be handy for xmas cheers all

if you actually read any of the paperwork or the statements that have been released you would have understood the process completely...bad luck if it was dodgy and you got fucked over because you didnt read any of it...$2.50 is the average of the shares sold...they werent all simply just cashed in for $2.50...they were sold over the period of time at obviously a lower rate due to the market being flooded...

much the same thing happens with the alot of business staff allocated shares...they are generally smart enough to put a clause into the contract of accepting the shares that the employee must retain the shares for a "x" week/year period before selling them to prevent the marketing being flooded and in turn effecting the share pricing...

the old supply and demand principal smile.gif plenty of stock, lower price...

may have failed business studies and account in college...but i still remember enough to be useful lol...

those holding onto the shares currently may wish to hold onto them long enough to cash in on the first allocations of dividends...which from memory is sometime late this year...

mines already spent...ae86 sent me a wish list and decided toda flywheel, cam gears and timing belt were calling out to be purchased smile.gif
