Full Version: Does Anyone Know How To Fix A Washing Machine?

Our washing machine has decided that it doesn't want to let cold water into the tub properly. If i hook the hot water hose up to the cold tap and run it as a hot cycle, it will do the wash cycle, but then the rinse wants cold water. The cold water trickles out really slowly.

I think the solenoid might have packed it in.

Does anyone on here have any experience with fixing them. It's a hoover.

Same thing happened to mine. It seems that the water "Gates" seize up and don't open correctly. I just swapped the hot water one with the cold (Which had seized) and ran cold washes.
