Yo.
So im going to be upgrading my OS sometime VERY soon(next day or two) and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with those programs that make saving data before wiping your HDD alot quicker and easier. Put simply run program, check selected files/folders, saved to external drive ect, new OS, re run program, slaps files/folders where they were on the last OS. Anyone know of any also?
Also chasing a program that can change file types say from .avi to .mpg or to .flv ect and vise versa.

Just move the files you want onto a external HDD, then move them back after.
You can buy a external HDD for around $100.
For converting files, i use Super buy eRightsoft. Shits good because you can pretty much change anything / convert anything.

I will probably end up just doing that, but a program sounded so much easier.
Is that file conversion program free?

Yeah, the "buy" was a typo.

So poor quality, that they have another page to show you how to download the damn thing.
