The second Queensland Raceway round ever for the Raceline Events Group was held on the weekend with record entries, some new and some old faces coming out for a drift, with the debut of the Hi Power Racing s15 driven by one of Queenslands long time drifters Jerome Kennedy.
With not even a lap underway the Harmonic balancer came loose on the beast leaving Jerome to go straight into the competition with no practice runs. Lucky for Kennedy he had experience up his sleeve on the well known turn 3 and 6 drift track on the Queensland Raceway Track. Being only the cars first official competition it was more of a chance to set the car up but still managed a top 10 finish.
The day was always going to be about Huge Euge, the ex National Series competitor in his 180, with his fine form all season and on his home track it was always going to be down to consistency, having more track time over the years than most of the competitors it was no wonder he took out the event.
Boettcher in the Tokage Drift Soarer who was sitting well up on the Stadium Drift Pro Series leader board for the series managed a second place win and increasing his dominance in the Queensland drift scene with a larger car that just seems to fry the tires no matter what the track location or conditions this car just seems to be constant and perform. With this second place win this bumps Boettcher up to the top of the leader board in the Pro Series.
Danny Kenneally took the third place win in his Hogs Breath Cefero from Tamworth driver Adam Barnes by only a few points closing the field tighter as the series progresses closer to the end.

JUN Engine

To wrap up the days events the team brought the car out just to give Jerome some valuable seat time and competition experience in his new setup and we where ecstatic to see Jerome was confidently learning the lines again rapidly through out the day.
Unfortunately sometimes things don't always go your way and during the big entry comp something was very wrong, the MOTEC had switched ignition off to protect itself and Jerome pulled it back in the pits to see what was going wrong.
The car had managed to drain it's radiator fluids somewhere along the way out on course; as it hand not leaked water in the pits. Water was added back into the system but it bleed from numerous places including the external wastegate pipe. The only good sign was the engine oil hand not turned milky on inspection.
So it's hoped it's only a head gasket that has let go but they will analyze everything on Monday and make a decision from there on what has to be done.

yer it leaked an awful lot once the radiator was filled back up, then the speedflow fitting turned itself loose...then it started spittin water out the exhaust..pity, cause i really wanted to see those tyres

. he's just goto find someone decent enough to trust to work on such an expensive crate motor.
