Mitsubishi scorpion shares mechanical parts with the sigma. They came out with the same 2.6 as the sigma. The astron 2.6L is prone to overheating and usually need new valve stem seals every 100K when they start blowing smoke. They are easy to get parts for except for body pannels as far as i have found. I also had a jap spec (import) 82 scorpion GSR turbo, it shared very little in common with the aus delivery ones, and a real bastard to get parts for. In total i have had 2 x 2litre sigma sedans, 2 x 2.6L sigma sedans and the scorpion gsr, and i had nothing but trouble from them, the 2 litre seem to have less problems though.
IMO leave it where you found it, you don't want the headache.

Body panels and interior trim parts are a bitch, but mechanicals are a piece of piss as they share engines with the Sigma. Gearboxes and diffs are Mitsubishi items rather than Borg-Warner plastic shit, though, as the Scorpions were all assembled here from imported parts.
If you look after it like you would, say, your average Aussie/Yank POS you'll have no problems, apart from the stem seals like Wrench said.
