Hey Chaps,

I am trying to install a tacho to my 95 rodeo, i have tried to tap into the negative wire from the ignition coil and that has failed, i noticed on the wiring diagram of the car that there is a tachometer test connector, does anyone know where that is physically located on the car???

(on the instructions it says to connect to the tachometer pulse output) is that the same as the tachometer test connector? if not where is it?

Or does anyone know another way to installl the tacho...

my mate did one for a 99 hilux, he said that there is a spare wire behing the instrument cluster.

If you don't have a high impedance meter or a way to test for tacho pulses, find an ECU diagram. There will be a tacho input that you can tap into.
