I have noticed a trend that is quite understandable as most cameras today are 6 megapixel or better. The trend being the upload of photos nowadays seems to be larger files that take some time to see when your running slow connection, and also requires a lot of space on the boostcruising server.
Here is a quick and easy guide to reducing the size of a photo before you upload it.
1. Find the file in the given folder, right click and choose 'open with' and select 'paint'.
2. Once opened in paint hit 'CTRL' - 'W'. place the same relevent reduction rate into the vertical & horizontal fields.
(note play with step 2 until you see the image at a reasonable size, if an error is made hit 'CTRL' - 'Z' for undo)
3. Now go to 'FILE' - 'SAVE AS' and change the name, like add an A or 1 to the end, this is so your original pic is not overwritten. Now select save and your done, your 2mb file should now be more like 100 - 300k.
Easy give it a go!!! any questions just ask....
