I have a toshiba satellite pro A210 with windows XP

I have burnt cd/dvd fine with this laptop before, but i had a hard drive crash, i have installed nero, but it doesnot show a cd/dvd drive only image recorder, Nero Drive speed and nero info tool also say i have NO Cd/DVD drive, DVD santa and Burnon CD/DVD also Say i have no CD/DVD Drive..

However if i go into My computer it shows my cd/cdc drive, and it also appears in Device manager...

Why wont it show up on CD/DVD Writing software?

check in device manager if the burner driver has been installed properly.

in device manager, under cd/dvd drives it has
"matshita dvd-ram uj-805s"

it doesn't have a yellow triangle next to it or anything

i uninstalled nero and now the other programs can see my drive.. must be a burn rights problem
