Hey just need some opinions or first hand experience on a little predicament i am in. My choices are connecting my media centre pc via a DVI to HDMI link or a VGA link.
Which is better in terms of picture quality etc?
Im running the vga right now and watching tv through MCE looks pretty dodgey sooo opinions??

Cheers all

DVI

HDMI is the best of those three options.

DVI is basically HDMI without the audio in terms of quality TODAY, however HDMI has the ability to carry a slightly higher colour depth (... which you'll never use)

VGA (DSUB) is crap. Old-skool tech.

Use DVI to the TV, and optical audio (or digital SPDIF) to your amplifier.

I'm running a hdmi and have no issues.

Sweet as looks like the VGA is outta there.
Thanks all!

HDMI ftw..

Ive got a 42 inch 1080p, Hooked up to a graphics card that has dual dvi output (8800gt).

I play Blu-Rays from the computer and they come out on the TV looking pretty damn good. Too bad ive only got shitty little 5.1 logitechs that let the entire set up down.

im running a cord that has earphone jack at 1 end.. aux plugs at the other.. running to my surround sound system

watching movies or playing games on the 32"lcd is brilliant.. im also using a 9500gt 1gig internal ram.. overlocking capability and has HDMI dvi and vga outputs.. bloody good thumbsup.gif

You're not getting 5.1 surround sound though, only stereo.
