Dad still has all his corgi cars (diecast cars from the 50s and 60s) sitting in a box. He also has a few tinplate toy cars. They are also in boxes.

I think it is a waste. The last time i saw them was at least 5 years ago when i busted them out of the box, had a look, opened and closed the doors, and put them away again.

so

I want to get a display cabinet to put them all in. Preferably a bookcase style thing, and sealed so the dust doesn't get in.

Any suggestions on where I could find something? Second hand is fine.

I'd suggest you keep an eye out in the paper for when places like LMPA have an auction (generally once a month). They usually have heaps of furniture to dispose of, and I'm pretty certain I've seen some glass display cases there when I've been previously. And a lot of the stuff ends up going pretty cheaply, eg. office desks for $50.

Prices don't seem too bad, but freight could be the killer.

Yikes! I would have thought you could just about build one for that sort of price!
