Hey all,
seeing as you haven't got a local 'off-topic' section, i figured it was ok to put it here.

I'm from Darwin but will be in Adelaide in september for a weekend.
I'm also a photographer and take pics around most of the cities i go to.
The main reason for the question though, is to take someone out one night tongue.gif

the plan is to take her up to the hills (yeah she's a local, but still) and have dinner up there over-looking Adelaide at night.

I know mount lofty lookout is the main/big one for that sort of stuff, but surely some of you locals would have some good, small, quiet spots around the hills?

I would be very interested to know about some of them. even as a PM if you really don't want to share them tongue.gif

I know its slightly weird to be posting up this sorta thing... unsure.gif

Thanks
B3ll3
Mount lofty is normally the go.....very very picturesque n romantic.

Failing that, i would go n do something in the Barossa Valley. I got taken on a very romantic trip though the wineries during the afternoon there, and to a very beautiful look out up that way. Unfortunately I dont know where it is...and alas as romantic n sweet as it was, im not with him anymore to ask him laugh.gif

haha.... thanks B3LL3 laugh.gif

we had dinner on the foreshore rocks at sunset when she was in Darwin... so now i would like to keep a 'location' theme going for that.
i may end up doing breakfast at Glenelg as well?

how busy is mount lofty lookout after dark normally? say 7ish

Mate theres a place called windy point in the hills that has an awesome lookout, aswell as a place with a silver service restaurant and a cafe. thats where I take people i want to impress..
Zmit

Heh. Close. But not quite tongue.gif
google street view shows that there is a picnic table there... THAT'S why I want to know.
That table (and weather) are pinnacle factors in this plan.

lol bit but late i know, but you can use this one next time wink.gif fairly quiet spot too

i think the street is called oceanview blvd at mt osmand and as for city light views it is as good as it gets, beats windy point IMO and doesnt have the crowded carparks full of spanners.

nah no carpark just a gap where they havnt built any houses due to the side of hill being too steep would fit a couple of cars there though, i took a group of about 15 cars there on a friday night meet once.
