ok, I'm wanting to know the good and the bad.. I'm getting mixed reports everywhere.
Some say too many whole eggs will do wonders to your choloesterol, others say just egg the whites...
I was eating upto 8 whole eggs a day, but now i'm thinking that's bad.. So i might be changing that to just 8 whites maybe a day..
any help would be great.
cheers

personally I dont see the point of throwing away the yolk since half the protein in an egg is in it
from the research I've done they dont raise your cholesterol, people think that because they contain cholesterol in it but the cholesterol in food is different to the one in your body. Plus your liver makes 80% of the cholesterol in your body anyway.
you need cholesterol for training as well, it's a vital part of building muscle take a look on the side of your protein powder and have a look at the amount of cholesterol that's in it
if you're a healthy person in your 20's-30's it's fine to have several eggs a day.
people usually worry too much about the bad "good" food they're eating and then go and have maccas which is infinity worse.
so in saying all that, the only reason you'd throw away the yolks is if you've had a cholesterol or heart problems or have a vagina.

Are you a healthy person?
Do you work out regularly and well (not just lifting a pencil)?
Do you eat a good reasonable diet?
If yes, then why the f**k are you worrying about egg's for? Get into them! One of the best food's nature has ever produced!

this dudes pretty much 100% correct.
But saying several eggs a day can be generous. I do kno if u have to much, which depends on your size weight and what you usually eat it can be bad

130kg to 85kg, now upto bout 99/100kg.
Eating 5-6 meals a day, getting about 250g of protein a day from each meals and a shake..
Weights 4days a week(next week starting new routine, so could me more or be less)
3days off, i mostly do 30-60min walk on those days off, was running but my IT bands began to play up so have to take it easy for awhile and then test them out.
Just know too much of one thing is never a good thing..I'm trying my hardest to get my diet as strict as possible and not have too many flaws in it. I eat the exact same things 5 days a week, sat/sun i eat a little differently but still very healthy, may have one or two cheat meals(mmm kebabs/subway... haha)

Buy frozen egg whites from Woolies. For breakfast I have a cup of egg whites and two eggs - heaps of protein and low in fat (I'm not doing it for bodybuilding, it's just a really healthy breakfast).

Freezer department of Woolies, they will be with all the frozen pastry/berries. Usually gets sold within a day of it coming in, always a good idea to talk to the Perishables Department Manager and ask if they can either stock double or if you can buy a whole box in one go.

I work in a clinic working with diabetes clients and in the diabetic population they should not consume more than two eggs a week. For the healthy population it does not matter as egg white is pure protein.
cheers....

Cholesterol in eggs is bad for your body.
Cholesterol is an essential component of our cells, as well as a crucial element
of the anti-inflammatory response, which we know is high in the presence of stress,
alcohol, injury, and even exercise. Natural sources of cholesterol actually
*contribute* to your body's overall health! A good egg contains enough of a
compound called lecithin to help breakdown most of the cholesterol present in the
egg itself. Unfortunately, an egg is often accompanied by a huge slice of frying
butter, a couple strips of bacon or sausage, or even an evil breakfast pastry. Instead,
try this for breakfast - fry an egg in just a few drops of olive oil, and eat over a bowl
of oatmeal - you'll elevate levels of good cholesterol, increase fiber intake, and start
the day with a great surge of protein. And if you're on a lower fat percentage diet,
ditch the yolk, and eat the egg white only. cheers
