Sorry guys, but Vicroads isnt giving me answers, and Police Vic isn't much help either.

Question is:

Can a red p plate driver, drive a car, which has had a engine transplant, (SOHC 1.8 to DOHC 1.8 (ca18de)).
Car in question is a N13 Pulsar.
Only performance mod is 4-1 extractors and sport exhuast. (getting stock peeshooter for it)
Engine bay looks factory. Nothing really out of the ordinary.

Question is, is this an offence.
Everything that I have read says its 100% legit (only thing wrong is exhuast, which will be changed)

Anyone with any Police contacts or Vicroads contacts, can this please be confirmed?
Last thing I want to do is buy a car, which i cant LEGALLY drive.
Or a $1100 fine + 3 points

Regards

you should be fine. as lomg as the engine number matches the rego.. even if its not how the hell are cops going to know what engine is what. just dont worry and drive the thing.

what they dont know wont hurt them, if it looks like nothings happened to it mod wise they dont usually go in depth
