i only got a hk
i am going to the states at the end of the year and i was wondering what a decent entry level DSLR camera is and how much i should be paying (second hand and new) as i want to take a crap load of pictures that will look ok rather than using my mums 8 megapixel digital camera that gives average quality size pictures that are too big...

i am going to LA NYC San Fran Las Vegas and Washington so i am going to places that warrant a decent photo record, so i am sure you guys can understand what i am getting at.

any ideas?

The g10 (http://www.canon.com.au/products/cameras/d...wershotg10.aspx) and new SX1 powershot (http://www.canon.com.au/products/cameras/d...rshotsx1is.aspx) (granted they cost a pretty penny) will give you excellent shots for travelling without the need for lense changes.

Remember for "really really nice photos" you're going to want decent glass to go with your new DSLR purchase...
