Just recieved a phone call from him about some of the specs on the new Q7 due for release here later in the year.

- 5 pre sold before stock has even hit the country.

- 6 Litre V12 twin turbo diesel putting out 368 rwkw (493.5 rwhp) and 1000nm of torque.

- Zero to 100 in just over 5 secs (5.1 quoted).

- 21 " wheels standard

- Ceramic brakes on all 4 corners, approx cost for first replacement which is under 20,000km's, $2600 before labour for pads and discs.

- Auto cruise, all the luxury extras etc.

- Built as competition to the Cayenne and the Touareg

- Rough retail cost $290k.

Sounds like a complete weapon, can't wait to see one in action tearing along here somewhere.

Same engine in Audi R8 would be better ...

Torque is actually closer to 800-900Nm. It's capable of 1000 though.

so you can get me a deal on some parts for my a4?

They where contemplating the idea of shoe horning the diesel donk into the R8 but the awesome economic state canned that idea ...

Thou it would probably make an even bigger fire in the R8 chassis then the V10 did

I love the Q7 it has a mean looking face.
