hey guys,
looking at upgrading my lux to the supercharged version off the 3.8 ecotec, just need to know is it worth buying a whole new motor or just bolting the supercharger onto the ecotec already in it , if so could anyone tell me what i would have to change and where to get one up here

I'd still buy a super 6 complete ecu & engine rather than piss fart around trying to upgrade a ecotec.
Unless your going to heavily modify the engine, its just a whole lot easier.

yep n all super 6 ecu's run engine n 4l60e autos, so the ecu will have to be edited if you are planing on using a manual trans.

Turbo or V8.
Supercharged ecotec's are fucking ghey. Seriously. Their sluggish as fuck.

standard ecotec heads are diferent and you will need the ecu and loom ifusing a manual box u will need to source a manual ecu for it they are rare. you are better of buying a complete s/c engine package

crate motors work out cheaper in the long run.

if it's all available as one big package i spose it would be easier, but if you have to run around to find ecu's and gbox and shiz hes prolly better off buying a off the shelf kit
