The T3 / T4 Turbo are custom matched for specific applications. Airflow ratings to 600 HP. Consists of a T3 turbine section, (standard, Stage II or Stage III trim) and a T4 compressor section (T04 trim).

The turbo offers the low inertia and fast boost response of the light weight T3 Turbine wheel and the high airflow characteristics of the T4 compressor. Air flow rating of up to 600HP

hey mate what brand ect i have 1996 series 2low mount turbo would it go right on

I had a series 2 '97, this was a direct replacement.
When i bought it the seller told me it had garrett internals and was a garrett style ??

u will need a new dump pipe for this turbo as stock rb dump pipe wont fit straight on

yeh bud ur gona need a dump with a t3 flange for it to fit. also might be externally gated, cos im selling 2 of these nd thats how mine are.

how would this go on a v6 commy? would it be to small?

I couldnt really see how it would be too small for a commy mate, it was for an rb25, and they can usually push pretty high figures through it, maybe just ask a turbo expert or conversion specialist?

Im seriously really not sure sorry mate, didnt no much about it when i bought it, and have since lost the paper work from the seller.

for those interested you can buy the dump pipes with vband to suit this turbo on ebay for a number of applications..


also its internal gated for the guy who asked..

mate i think thats too low, seeing i paid close to $500 for it and its still new, and have been offered more than that...

It IS externally gated. As it has no wastegate flap that is associated with the internal gate actuator.

I will offer 200 plus postage.. you may say no saying uve been offered more but the turbo is still for sale so they cant of being realistic offers!

hay mate just lettin ya know this turbo is internally gated the gate is under the plate with the 3inch hole on the rear off the turbo

What your trying to sell is a Chinese manufactured turbo that are common on ebay. They are not to bad if people don't try to over-boost them and run proper oil through their system (like any forced induction donk).

Has it or has it not got a built in waste gate? The pictures show that but there seems to be a conflict there?

Yeah thats what the seller told me, exactly what u said just need to run sensible boost & quality oil....
im not sure haha, everyone is arguing about whether it is externally or internally gated in not sure someone who knows what their looking at will know..

god damn ppl! haha its internally gated.. I've had a turbot he same as this on an rb30 and went really well! and my mate also has one on a rb20, is laggy as, both times we had boost problems.. the hole in the rear housing is too small to hold boost on any motor, but a die grinder will fix that:)

It is internally gated. These turbos are perfectly fine. A kkr v-band dump pipe will fit it. They are $150 from ottomoto.com. They are oil cool and the standard oil line will fit. You can either block the standard water lines or you can join them. I would suggest joining them so you don't interrupt typical water flow. You just need to buy a new banjo bolt for the oil feed on the turbo. Won't cost any more than $10 for banjo and copper washers. Other than that the turbo bolts straight up, just rotate the front housing to get the outlet in the right position. I have run one of these turbos on my RB20. Had full boost from 4000rpm with no lag between gear changes. This turbo would work really well on RB25 and RB30 motors.
