( the police will only escort the first 100/150 cars)
Hopefully with the first comment everybody can join.
With the second comment i would assume it would only be for the real cars in the cruise (commodores) as the rest will be just hanger-oners.....

Well i suppose but in 2 tonne beast with around 600hp the first corner we play bumper cars on i bet i can pick the winner.
Shame there wont be any 2 tonne beasts with 600hp.

Fuck a Ford going into a Street Commodores event?
So so far the questions, is it CommonWhores only and are we allowed to muck about on the track?
HelavA
Jun 12 2009, 08:52 AM
ok lets clear this up.
last year i was told to promot this an a commodore only event and any others who show up on teh day we accept as it all goes to charity.
but as Darwin is a little smaller than other staes cruises iv made the decision as the Organiser to promote it as an open event for all.
The first one or two cruise sessions will be commodores only so the camera crew can get some proper snaps so it looks like were running it right for the mag =)
then everyone can go out and have some fun!!
Dont forget the photographer works for EMG they run different magazines for all types of cars, so if you think your car is pretty sweet then make sure you introduce yourself and you car as last year he did a couple of shoots after the event.
No P Platers on the track for insurance reasons. sorry.
yes just turn up the driver pays teh $30 entry and gets the goodie bag witch im still working on getting companies to sponsor more things to go in the bags.
no stopping and doing burnouts no big drifting ect.
you can have some fun just kkep it safe. last year we had not one problem and id like to do the same again.

Only for the track, if he intends to participate in the cruise he'll have to apply for a temp street permit.

and more to the point, its an organised cruise with police escort and some cruising on the track!
oh... you mean because its no longer just commondores...
tough shit Riley... Darwins too small to have 'specialised' cruises.

Exactly.
Besides not many nice commodores up here anyway, a few yes but shit would you want to see a cruise with 10 to 15 cars ???
Its for charity all the funds go to ford owners to help them with repairs & sheer blindness....

OK,
after much Deliberation my self and Hidden Valley have come to decide that Unregistered cars will not be included in the event.
This is to minimise potential damage.
I have also updated the first entry of information so please re read.

and the problem is??
if im going to enter ANY of my cars i want to be absolutely certain the event is insured and by a reputable insurance company... Allina mentioned for insurance reasons p platers cant enter - thats great but i just wanted to know a little more about who?? She answered the question - no big deal....
As for the jambo style event - i only ask because insurance is very costly and can be difficult to acquire - seeing as i missed the first meeting was just enquiring if this topic had been discussed?? Again no point discussing and organising a great event when you have no insurance coverage - people wont attend or enter...
