anyone had a ps3 with the yellow light of death yet?
its when u try to turn on the console and it beeps 3 times and comes up with a yellow light then turns to red and goes off?
pretty much like the Xbox's red ring of death??

yep, its the PS3s red ring of death. its buggered, time to pay up $300 for it to be fixed.

Happened to me, gave to EB games under warranty and got a free Dualshock Controller.

let me know if anyone gets this light of death. ill buy the console off you for $150 (more than wat EB Games will give you for it) or i can fix them for a reasonal price!!!!

If its a motherboard fix then its a simple heatgun job.
If its power supply or laser fix then junk it not worth the hassel

it was fairly common on 1st series 60G models & early model 40G versions...

it happened to mine & it was still under warrenty & got it repaired threw sony Aus for no charge...

but most places are fixing them between $80-$140...
