Dont mind cruisers, apart from toyota's mistake with the 100 series turbo diesels and V8, the 2 best motors of there line up and they fit gay IFS!!

comes down to the drive line, both have strong parts, but some are better then others.

Yeah but you have to spend more normally to get it in the first place. I like Patrols because there are plenty of them around so there are always heaps of spares available and when I was tossing up between the two I found there was alot more aftermarket custom suspension parts for patrols and thats what i wanted. My GQ with only front locker has driven one hill climb that two dual locked 80 series had to winch out of, both had 4-5inches of lift and 35's too. Just really depends on what your needs for them are and what you were brought up around.

Rather than just posting youtube video's on ridiculous mods on trucks that none of us can afford, we need to have a patrol and cruiser Sunday soon to really settle things I think. pitch similar mods against eachother, mano - e - mano. both are good 4wds,its personal preference which one you choose. and it cant be settled once and for all because most of it would be driver ability/experience.a gq and 80series with the same mods,same tyres and everything else are both great vehicles but the driver would be the let down in the final decision.

Mate, Dont ruin a good excuse to go out to landcruiser park, get filthy, stuck and wet, then retire for some beers.

We cant make june, but patrols beat cruisers every time. Look at the comps, domminated by gq/gu.

yep good fun, I got a few things to do first but I'm up for a cruiser vs patrol run later in the year. Self recovery though, I've done my share of recovering cruisers. I'd even say I'd out drive most 80 drivers in the girls car.

I'd do cruiser, the springs (best park so far), janowen or maybe rover.
