John.
Basically as the title has suggested, I'm coming to Japan on the 21st of June, will land on the 22nd at 6am..

Need to search for a furnished apartment, but would like recommendation on what area's to look?.

There's lots in Tokyo around 150,000 - 200,000 YEN, there's a few around 100,000 YEN, which is what I'd prefer to spend..

My preferred limit would be 130,000 YEN, But if I have to pay more, I will have to bite the bullet so to speak.

As with Australia there's areas that cost alot to live, then 20 minutes away, its half the price. So just want to find out if Japan is the same.

Have found a small number in Osaka which seems to be much cheaper then Tokyo, is this the case?..

Any websites/agents you'd recommend?

Cheers guys!.

cool, what do you have in mind?
How long are you staying?
will you be working? if so where?
Do you already have a job?
Do you intend to own a car?

Where are the places in Tokyo you like to/would like to frequent... etc
John.
Something small, preferably furnished, and short term lease available.

Plan to stay as long as my WHV allows, the total 18months would be fantastic. If something comes my way and I can stay longer, then I'm all for it. However, I'm not relying on something that may not happen, so when I return I will complete a degree and head back over mamoru.gif (Hopefully)

No work as yet, I've got a decent amount of cash saved so will be shipping a few old cars back over hear to make a little more to live. If the time comes, I will search for something part time, teaching English more then likely. My signwriting qualifications will unfortunately mean nothing in Japan. However, I'm sure I could pick up a small plotter or printer and make stickers to sell on ebay LOL. Direct from Japan - The home of Drift tongue.gif.

Owning a car is my main 'want', not a necessity, but would be good. I'd love to own something I can throw around a track of a weekend.

I'm good friends with Masa from RC-Champ in Osaka, I believe they also have a shop in Akiba.

Basically I'd like to live somewhere decent, but not over the top...

I've found a few possibilities through 'apartment81' - Will need to follow up when I arrive.

I know this is old, but Osaka is my favourite place in the whole world.

Would personally move there if I could.
