Multiple fatality, Toowoomba: A sedan carrying seven teenage males has crashed into another vehicle on the New England Highway north of Toowoomba, killing two boys and seriously injuring four others. Initial investigations indicate that both vehicles were travelling north on the highway shortly before 10pm when the crash occurred. The car containing the boys caught on fire, trapping a number of the occupants. The male driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle, aged in his 50s, is seriously injured however his injuries are not considered life-threatening. A 16-year-old boy died at the scene while a 17-year-old died while undergoing surgery at Toowoomba General Hospital. One youth, 16, was flown by Careflight helicopter to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital; another, aged 17, has been flown to Gold Coast Hospital; and a third, aged 16, was flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital. All have life-threatening injuries. Of the two remaining boys, a 17-year-old remains in Toowoomba General Hospital with serious injuries however he is expected to survive. The seventh occupant of the vehicle, a 17-year-old, received only minor injuries and has been released from hospital. The northbound lanes of the highway were diverted while investigations were conducted at the scene but have now re-opened. Definitly a tradegy but one that couldve been avoided, hopefully a wake up call to ALL people who do the same and overload just not p platers

its funny, when a P plater kills someone it makes head news, it all about been hoon and young drunk people. But if someone who is on their opens, it isn't as bad. Even tho those people who r on their opens should have the experience not to be drunk, crash n kill others.

P platers can be stupied, genreally they don't get drunk, do skids ect.. Its only the fuckin tools that give them a bad name.

But either way, anyone who kills another human when they didn't mean it, they will pay the consiqences(yes I cant spell). They will be delt with by the court, friends, family, and also their own mind..

For all we know this could of been the first time they were being idiots in a car and shit happend. We;ve all done stuped shit before, why flame tthese lads... seriously.. they fucked up and now the priced has been paid.. all u key board worriers should go fuck urself.. i feel for these lads.. yr 12, young, still got the chance to live the dream and it had to end.. couldn't agree more, i'm a p plater and ive been in 3 crashes, and none of them were my fault, they were all from open drivers 30+ one of the crashes that wrote my car off i should of been in hospital from it, t boned the guy at 70km/h, my bonet was at my legs, they had to cut me out, i got away with minor scratches!, im not saying that its all opens that cause accidents or that its all p platers, its everyone!! yes us youngens do stupid shit, and we pay for it, these guys have to pay for it as well, when they cut me out of the car, the guy who i crashed into died on the way to hospital, because he thought he could beat me accross a intersection. i have to live with that, even tho its not my fault i still have to live with it .its everyone not just them..sorry this is so long just btw....R.I.P lads
