Hey guys

Hoping someone here might know. I'm gettng a new Xbox soon and want to transfer my profile, saves, ect to my console BUT leave all my brothers stuff on his. Whats the best way to go about it?

Thanks who ever moved it, i didn't even know there was a tech support section lol.

Just try and track down a memory card for one - Ebay is probably the cheapest and easiest way to find one, still expensive for what they are though.

That should be right for your saves/profile, but if you've bought content off xbox live you'll need to migrate the licenses to the new console since they're not linked entirely to your profile, but to your xbox as well, otherwise you'll need to always be logged into xbox live to play your arcade games/extra levels for games etc.

You can get the data migration cables too. Ive never tried one but AFAIK that will simply transfer everything from one console to another, not profile specific stuff, again ive never tried it so thats just my understanding.

as BozzA said, get an official 360 memory card. i got a 256mb one off ebay for something like 20 bucks. simply go into settings on the xbox, memory, profiles, then the one you wanna transfer and click move and select the memory card. i have my profile loaded on my memory stick all the time, so when i go over mates places i can take my profile with me without having to recover it (which takes upwards of 20 mins).

do the same with your saves, although they *might* be linked to the console so you cant just give copies of them to others to boost your achievements. not 100% sure on that though.

iirc the transfer kit will wipe everything from the original HDD, so you probably dont wanna do that.

Yeah thanks guys, will give that a try. Definatly don't want to wipe the old one lol. If i wanted to do that, i'd just swap hard drives.
