Hey Guys,

I've recently bought my first SLR camera ... its a Canon 450D .. I was just after some tips on how to use it and the best options for lighting and unique looking photos...

I'd love to study to learn more but havent got the time

Any ideas and suggestions would be great

Thanks

Hey
I got the same camera pretty fun to get into isn't it?

I suggest firstly, post in the Photography section on boost.

2nd, go out and practice. Post up photos on websites like here or probably other ones brisbanephotography etc and ask people to CRITIQUE you. take the critisism because thats the best way to learn.

3rd
buy a book or read about it online, you will learn lots. you don't have to "study" to do it...

No but it sure helps.

Whitz do some basic research on higher/lower apertures, DOF control, white balance, shutter variations, all can be found in the manual, but better in depth lectures can be found through google. Have a read and it will give you a little push so when you come to start playing with it all, it wont be so new and confusing.
