Looks very cool! ...I like it.
Personally not sure about the late model colour, engine and big billets, but same as all of us, you build a car YOU love - not to please others, so good luck with it. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I've told him before my opinion on billets, shiney paint and all the accessories.. but hes more of a "street rodder" type than traditional like us.
The chop is done pretty well though.

Traditional doesn't mean flat black Andrew. My EK is going to be Traditional, and i'm painting it Copper with flake in the paint. It'll be shiney.
Traditional is basically the style they did cars back in the 50s and 60s. But eh, everyones different.
To me, chrome steelies (Like what it used to have on it), whitewalls, white interior and that green paint would look pretty shmick.

Is this legal in Qld or do you need to engineer it??
Looks great guys...I too vote traditional...your car and my opinion but dont bling it up with big billets etc...Will lose the Kool appeal I think...

What i've tried to explain to him is that the traditional style is timeless.. makes a car look like it coulda been done yesterday, or 40+ years ago. Its something that never looses its cool appeal.
As an example.. do you think in another 20 / 30 years people will consider pastel paint and those terrible graffix of the 80's "Traditional"? I seriously doubt it.
Same goes for the whole billets scene thats around at the moment.

Love it in flat black, bung on some chrome hubcaps and whitwalls. Maybe a white roof and some red oxide details. Either way you decide to go, love the roof chop, wish i had the balls to try something like that.

Not a fan of the chop at all, think it ruins the lines of the car but thats just me.

i think the chop looks tuff as! as for paint wheels etc. it's a very personal choice.. i had everyone telling me not to do what i did to my show car and now friends/family/show judges LOOOOVE how it looks. the trick is you need to have a vision in your mind of the finished look and stick to it. if you start doing it one way, get half way through and then decide to listen to other people and change the way the car is heading, it will end looking like crap.
i don't know if you know the car i mean but Adam LeBreese's wagon looked friggin sweet with big wheels, bagged, nice paint.. i'm pretty sure he picked up street machine of the year with that combo. so it can look good if done right.
i say stick to your vision, be patient and when the time comes.. it will feel that much better when you tell everyone "i told you it will look hot!"
keep up the good work mate.. it's a fine looking EH and i can see your plans with it and i think it will look the goods.
