i formatted my windows media centre pc to windows xp home edition n now my sound dont work at all.. it says i have to sound device.. i dont kno wat driver i had before n ive tried looking for my speakers drivers but i just cant find anything..
has anyone got any other ideas please?? its getting really annoying now

Daniel Mang, you need to motherboard drivers if you have on-board sound, just look on Google to find out what motherboard you have and then get the sound drivers.
Will have nothing to do with any CD's you got with your speakers.

how do i find out wat motherboard i hav.. will it say it on it? its a hp computer anyway

Download SIW from
http://www.gtopala.com/ and once it's loaded, on the left click motherboad. And it will show the model of your motherboard.
Which then you can search for on the HP website or whatever and find the sound drivers.

try CPU-Z, it will give you details about your motherboard. find it at www.cpuid.com
just run the program and you will get the model number
