I don't know much about this, but I'd assume it's some kind of race along with a show 'n shine - basically one big event?

I'd like to know more about it though, is there a website for this with more info and dates?

Had it running on 3 injectors, then 5 on Saturday.... There now out and getting a clean...... Then hopefully it will be a "sniffer" up its bum and tune........ Providing my engine is still all good

We'll see dude. I've a different exhaust on the car now so unfortunately the stinger (as they're known in the veedub world) won't stick straight out the back, but I can still bolt it up.

I've even a couple of average chrome bumpers to put back on it too...and have already put chrome headlight rings back on.

I'll get in touch with a couple of volksie mates and see what we can do.

I'd happily pay $85 regularly if it means the falcadorecommonrice arn't there. To each his own blah blah blah.. but watching the forementioned vehicles racing just about puts me in a coma of bordem.

A follow up to our phone conversation regarding the Shannons Nostalgia Drag Racing Series event that is to be held on the 30th May, 2009 at the Hidden Valley Drag Strip, Darwin.......

Shannons Insurance and NDRA (Nostalgia Drag Racing Australia Pty Ltd) are the promoters of the Australia wide Nostalgia Drag Racing Series known as the Shannons Nostalgia Drag Racing Series, and we are now in our fifth year.

The series brings hundreds of racers and thousands of spectators together right across Australia to enjoy a casual, relaxed family day of fun.

The concept of the Nostalgias is to give guys and gals with hot rods and with street cars of the chrome bumper era an event where they can get out and strut their stuff, and to give drag racers with Nostalgia drag cars an event where they get to race other Nostalgia racers.

As promoters we know by the response of racers and fans that this sport is rapidly growing. In the eastern states racer entries often exceed the cut off point and we have bracket sponsors for every bracket. The guys with drag cars love the event because it is laid back and low key with none of the pressure of the Competition meets but with all the fun. Those with street hot rods and street cars enjoy giving their car a squirt and racing against their mates without having to look over their shoulder.

We are inviting you to join us in the fun and to make this event bigger and better for the mutual benefit of us both, and to make the Northern Territory event as strong as the other events on the nostalgia circuit.

We have secured the attendance of the Junkyard Dog Racing team for this event. Yeah, unless the automotive gods decide to smile on me I wont be racing now either. Motor is in pieces again in the Hardtop, and the 4 door is 2 slow to be bothered with.

Should still be there with Mike and 'Cool Breeze'- looking okay to make its debut at nostalgias.
