the demo is only about 130mb from memory. u get 3 cars to play with. you can play the demo online as well. you can play in single player offline doin hotlapping and racing ai opponents. when you pay from memory its about $50 you get alot more tracks, more cars, and lots more servers to choose to race from online.

there are plenty of sites out there with setups for cars and skins (paint jobs) to customize.

rfactor is a game and xfactor is a team that plays on LIVE FOR SPEED.

Personally i like live for speed as the way that the cars handle is ultra realistic.

Rfactor is great as well as there are so many different cars you can download and tracks. basically on r factor if there is a racetrack in the world you can download it and the same with the cars. there is everything available from ride on lawn mowers to truck racing.

The m3 is a mod that someone has done themselves, lfs doesnt like modders to release their files, and i have spent alot of time looking for how to mod the files but there is very little info out there on how to hex edit the game files.
