some time ago i borrowed out my windows XP cd to a neighbour and along with it all my driver cd's,
he has since gone walkabout and is long gone
i just had viruses on my laptop and my partners so i borrowed XP of a mate and installed it no probs but i cant do anything else with the computers as they have no drivers installed for modem, usb drive, sound etc
I WOULD LIKE TO BORROW /PAY OR GET A BURNT COPY OF A UNIVERSAL DRIVER CD OR CD'S FOR
-TOSHIBA SATELLITE A10
-HEWLETT PACJARD NX6120
any help would be greatly appreciated

Download them from the Toshiba or HP site via whatever net connection youre using atm? Then copy to flash drive and transfer over.

i tried that but usb is not installed either, then put them on cd and still didnt work so jumped on ebay and bought a universal driver disk, $20 so see how it goes, thanks for your help

I suspect a universal driver disk wont fix anything either. All it is is some little chinese bloke who downloads a whole heap of drivers and burns off CDs of them....
Ive got a HP with fresh install of Vista Ultimate on it (came with Vista Home, and no driver disk). I just went to the HP site and downloaded every driver they had, then looked up the Intel chipset used on that model HP (via Google, I couldnt find it on the HP site). I was lucky that USB worked, so thats where I copied from... but if USB isnt working just burn a CD yourself. Likely the most important one to get going is the chipset or motherboard drivers, which will often trigger a whole host of other hardware to be found.
