hey all, i came home the other day and my room mate flicked the red switch on my psu and now my comp is fuked. can i buy ne psu and put it in or does it have to be exactly the same, also how much damage wou;ld have happend.

It wouldnt matter what brand you use, just the amount of wattage your computer requires.

If he's just switched the PSU voltage switch from 230v to 110v generally only the PSU dies, but other components can go down too.

When you buy your new PSU, make sure it's a decent brand with at least the same wattage as your current PSU.
