I agree with you mate, GSXR's all the way, i know i sound biased then cause i got the Yammy, but i like the single lights and integrated indicators of the GSXR range.. But still i have owned a Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, so it was time i gave the Yamaha a go. But later on when i upgrade to the 1000, its gonna be a GSXR no question about it.

nar upgrade to the new bwm k1300r, reading in yesterdays paper, straight out of the box, ran a 10.1 at 138 and he held it off, so he wouldnt get kicked off the track. the fella reckons it can easily run a sub 10 with a $700 gearshift assistor!.... something to look into!

sorted anything out with that rear cowl yet?
Butska747
Mar 19 2009, 06:45 PM
Yeh i've been sussing the seat cowl out, sounds pretty good, pitty they dont have it in white.
Anyways, i decided im painting the bike lol, the red fairings are going pearl white same as the rest of the bike. The front fairing will also be painted white. The seats will remain trimmed red, and i like the sticker on top of the tank. Its gonna look clean and different.
I decided to do this only because they bike has a few stone chips on them parts of the fairing, this is what im using my stimulous package cheque for Haha.
YES im crazy only owning this bike for 5 days!!!
I should have pics up in a few weeks when its done, currently sanded back ready for primmer and highfil.
Everything had to be taken off to remove the fairings.

Put the front end back on so the bike can be started and ridden around the block if i need to. Looks like a Aprilia Tuono, or a Benelli haha.

tip of advice , when ya go riding dont leave all ya other keys on the same key ring as ya bike key all you will scratch all around the top of tripple clamps and ignition

Yeah i know dude, this isnt the first bike i own haha, got 3 at the moment plus a car. I know the bikes not moving for a few weeks so the spare goes with the ring with the others. I only use the solo bike key on all my bikes, and apart from the scratchig it also vibrates and jingles lol.

Very nice ride, bud. For cosmetics though you can't go past a tinted screen - gives 'em more of an edge I say. Definitely invest in a PowerCommander III - they're GREAT!!

The bikes panels are prepared ready for painting.. Its going custom colours now, the whole bike is being painted.. Its gonna be the new Subaru pearl white, its brighter than the Yamaha's off-whiteish pearl white. AND its gonna have custome Candy Orange over it, but your gonna have to wait and see the finish and style its being painted.
The screen is also being painted in the same scheme as the rest of the bike. I cant wait, got the paint, waiting for painter to have time to do it. Maybe 2 weeks it should be done i hope.
The state the bikes in now, took it for one last ride today before it sits for 2 weeks i hope, i rode it like this up and down the street, i sat the seat there and only had the tank on bare lol. At least i stick taped the rear brake light on.
