Shannons Nostalgia Drag Racing Series
Shannons Nostalgia Drags entries for WSID are closing soon. Get your entry in now or you might miss out on a great event.
The Nostalgia event at Willowbank last weekend was unbelievable with about 220 entries received (which meant a dozen or so people missed out), and a crowd numbering around 5000, proving that the Nostalgia Series is growing in popularity. There was plenty of action with lots of seven second passes and a few guys running into the sixes. Michael Davey in the Berry Patch Monaro ran a wicked 207mph / 7.03 after a wild start and a pedal in Nostalgia Outlaws bracket. The crowd rose to their feet when Greg & Peter Leahy ran side by side smoking the hides half way down the track like in the old days the track paying respect to their Dad Roly. Ken Stephenson teamed up with Mark Stewart and ran the motor out of Marks altered “Panic” in his FED. They just might have run the quickest pass for an iron head 6cyl Holden motor (8.79). Good on you boys! The Gas bracket had over 40 entries and of course all the brackets were great to watch with plenty of action.
See you at Shannons Nostalgia Drags WSID event, 29th March.
